Not sure if you’re familiar with this idea of how we are being and what are you doing gets you to what you have. Another way of looking at is “Be – DO – Have”. Great concept and often I’ve discovered we spend too much time in the doing and we even take pride in getting a lot done. I’ve been great at the doing – so much so, I’ve added things to a to-do list that I’ve already done just so could mark something off….because that felt good.
I’ve also discovered that staying in the doing did not and has not given me what I want to have. It really is a formula – so ask yourself, who do I need to BE in order to DO what I need to DO, to get what I want to HAVE.
What’s interesting about this idea of BEING – it is a journey. You’ve got to be on the journey and be willing to fail. I saw something recently that gave two example of something being hard – Marriage is Hard – Divorce is Hard – chose your hard. That’s what it means to be on a journey – you are choosing daily and it starts from the moment you wake up. Do you rise saying, “Thank You it’s morning!” or with “Oh my gosh it’s morning already…..ugggg.” The choice is yours. Who you chose to BE is up to you and no one else. Your choice will dictate not only what you do and how you do it will also be the factor on what you get, your results, what you have. Chose your hard wisely.
My challenge for you, start with creating a TO-BE list instead of a TO-DO list.
